Welcome to the Gallery
When I put my hands in clay, all my worries go away!
Kat was introduced to pottery very young, graduating from mud puddles to a shimpo before her tenth year. Since 1992, her artworks have been displayed in galleries from Santa Fe to Tomé, and in private collections across the United States. She studied ceramics formally at University of New Mexico and has taught ceramics in k-12, college, & private studio since 2003. She coordinated the NM FUSE anagama wood-fire community in Madrid, NM until 2017. She founded GullyPots Ceramics in 2004 to represent her unique brand of ceramic ware now found in private collections across the United States. The Abq International Sunport featured one of her sculptures in 2023. Kat uses both traditional and contemporary methods in her work. Her work continues to evolve as she explores new techniques. Her beautiful functional ware is food safe and gives a sense of beauty and comfort for the user. As a commissioned artist, pieces are collaboratively designed to bring the imagination to life.
GullyPots are muy unique – you could have one too!
